DBMS™
is an application designed for mirroring files over a LAN or WAN in
real time. The
application uses advanced compression/decompression algorithms for file transfers.
DBMS™ is used for mirroring - transferring files between two
different computer nodes over a LAN or two different physical locations
over a LAN or WAN, like the production and
the disaster recovery site, in order for the data
files at the different computer nodes or physical locations to be synchronized.
DBMS™ can also be used for backup purposes by means of copying directory
trees from one hard disk to another over a LAN or WAN. The application can
simultaneously mirror and backup - copy files with the mirroring function
having a higher priority.
A light version of the application with the name
Copy Backup Data Files –CBDF™ has been developed for use when the
volume of data files is relatively small.
