Design
and development of a system for the automated measurement of the manufacturing
quality of electronic detonators for the heads of STINGER missiles. The system
was developed for PYRKAL S.A. With
the system, users are able to measure the electrical characteristics
(capacity, resistance, conductivity, etc) of the electronic circuits and
the cabling of the detonator. The system performs a series of measurements
of the electrical characteristics of the detonator and compares the
results against a table that contains the nominal values and the nominal
values’ offset of each measurement. If the actual measurement is within
range then the detonator passes the test otherwise fails and has to be
destroyed. The system keeps a database with all the manufacturing serial
numbers of the detonators (that are unique) and the measurements
performed. After the measurement the system prints out the results giving
to each printout a unique test number. The printout is the quality
assurance certification document and escorts the device until the end of
her life cycle.
The
system operates under the title "STINGER R
1.50".

Design
and development of a system for the automated measurement of the VSWR (static
waves) of the transmitter antennas for the Hellenic Navy. The system is developed in
order to monitor the transmission quality of the antennas by performing
automated measurement of the VSWR of each antenna, of 25 different
frequencies in the range of 2.00-29.9 MHz (HF) and compare the result against
the VSWR measured on installation time, or against the VSWR given by the
manufacturer. With the system, users are able to get alarms and monitor in
real time the VSWR of the antennas in order to make manual corrections on the
active transmitters.
