SPEC

Spectrum Analyzers Network Remote Monitoring & Control

Design and development of a system for the remote control of spectrum analyzers from multiple control workstations for the Hellenic Navy. With the system, users are able to control multiple remote spectrum analyzers from multiple control stations, transfer, display and process spectrum data to the participating in the network control or passive workstations. The control of each spectrum analyzer can be transferred between the network workstations.

The system was realized by using sophisticated compression algorithms over a private leased line network.  Implementation: The system is implemented in order to synchronize the broadcasting parameters of pairs of radio transmitters and receivers and operates under the title "Broadcasting Monitoring System R 2.10".

RCULF

Radio Transmitters and Receivers Remote Monitoring & Control

Design and development of a system for the remote control of transmitters, receivers and antennas from multiple control stations for the Hellenic Navy. With the system, users are able to control remotely transmitters, receivers and antennas from multiple control stations, transfer and store the functional status of each remote device to a central location. The control of each pair of a receiver / transmitter and the corresponding antenna can be transferred between the network workstations.

The system was realized by using encryption - decryption algorithms over dial-up PSTN. Implementation: The system is implemented in order to control remotely VLF/LF radio transmitters, receivers and antennas and operates under the title "RCULF R 2.40".

K14

Remote Monitoring and Control of Electric Power Generators

Design and development of a system for the automated measurement or the operational conditions of electrical generators driven by diesel engines. The system was developed for the Hellenic Navy.  The system is developed in order to monitor and control a number of operational parameters, either in digital mode (on/off) such as diesel on, generator synchronization on, power auto switch on, power auto switch off on error, diesel in manual mode, reverse power on, generator high voltage output on, synchronization error on, diesel low oil level on, diesel low oil pressure on, diesel high oil temperature on, diesel high cooling water temperature, diesel low cooling water level, air compressor low cooling water pressure, or in analogue mode, such as electric power, voltage, frequency, generator wiring temperature and diesel exhaust system temperature. The system displays the operation parameters at a workstation color monitor and in case of operational error visual and audio alarms are generated. The alarms are displayed at the monitor and printed-out automatically. The system maintains a continue log file of the operational conditions and the alarms that is also printed-out. Finally the system, in case of alarms, executes automatically corrective control actions defined in a set of possible conditions – corrective actions scenarios.

The system is used in several locations where one or multiple generator are installed. The system operates under the title "K14 R 1.50".

RCUE

Remote Control Units Emulators

Design and development of a number of software applications that emulate Radio Transmitters and Receivers hardware RCU in order to help the development of remote monitoring and control projects. The same software applications were used during the test phase of each project in laboratory environment.

The emulators that were developed was Rockwell’s Radio Transmitter Exciter RCUs of model HF 8010, HF 8014, HF 8151 and RACAL Radio Receivers RCUs of model CCI R3050, R3040.
